Blogs by Dark Knight Literary Viagra 10/8/2012 5:33:42 AMThere seems to be a bumper crop of books for sale these days. Let one best selling book get praise from buyers and soon you have clones. By that I mean authors writing along the same lines as 50 shades of Grey-after the book was written I saw and heard people's comments like" when is the next book coming out and I like the books so much I am reading them over." In the past week I have seen 4 new books out-dealing with Sex-a Dominatrix etc etc--to me it seems like some sort of Literary Viagra is touching the hearts and minds of people.While one could argue in favor of reading I'm not sure where this is all going? Just as Viagra helps restore sexual excitement for some couples, a literary Viagra seems to make an impression on millions to want more of such books in ever increasing numbers. I am sure E.L. James the author is laughing all the way to the bank. I wonder if Hemmingway Poe-Dickens and Hugo had sexed up their books it would have made bigger sales? It might have given a whole new meaning to the term " Classics"-LOL
