My parents didn't want me to read the Bible when I was younger-seems the idea of a Martin Luther reading the Bible-getting all screwed up in his thinking and starting the Protestant Reformation was too weird for them-and they hinted " you can guess where he is at today"
But they let me go to the Library where there were all kinds of books-stories of Knights and princesses and nasty Dragons and mean Giants. In trying to keep me out of the Bible my parents didn't realize I had falledn into a Pandora's World of books.--Every book was an invitation for me to enter in. The first sentence opened up a world I never saw before; a door to my yet untapped vivid imagination. So I walked through it and closed the door behind me and let my mind drift away.
Naturally an even bigger question arose. Would I ever be the same and do I come back to the world I once knew or
re--emerge to become something else?
There really are 2 kinds of writing. I have heard this said before. The one you write and many say " How romantic-or Sweet or how Insightful..." and then you write the one from your soul
The hidden erotic desires never spoken of in mixed company. You write of longings and love in places that make a reader feel they are being held tight against a wall and your words like Hot Kisses are igniting them and rather than stop reading they search for more of your Passionate Words.
For me writing is a deep Pleasure. Like reading a book I enter a new world and the part of me that God has known all along, silently emerges. I enter a world I never knew to become the poet I was destined to be all along
