...is to write Poetry that has a meaning to it...I know some of my poems may strike people the wrong way--leaving them to wonder --is this guy a Romeo? or a perv? actually I am just a guy writing poetry and I like to write poems that are free verse-narrative-haiku--the erotic romantic story is a bit of a stretch for me--I feel anybody can write a sexy romantic poem---just take the things you might see-imagine a person wearing or perhaps read a few magazines etc and you get the idea of it--at least that is what it does for me--take Men's Health magazine or for the ladies Cosmopolitan--both have stories about how to attract someone--just incorporate some of those same scenarios into a poem and voila you have a hot romantic erotic poem....but what i really like to write is poetry that makes me think and not something that makes me wish I had a Dictionary nearby--to each their own--I often wish I could write like a Robert Frost but I am as I am for now...
I like old romantic poems but I find even my taste and desire to write them is waning...it could be the fact that i am getting older...an impending operation for my appendix tomorrow made me think how fragile we get after awhile...I just want to say that my operation i have been told is simple etc etc--not sure if these people who say that had it done but I just want people that read my blog to know that if when the time comes for me to leave this world whenever it is--I have been ready since June'74
I have seen a lot of pain-cried too often-got rejected and hurt more than I care to talk about but I know God loves me and I know that despite some of the wild poems I write that HE lives in my heart---that statement alone should be like a green light to those who are into spiritual things as to how unlike a Dark Knight I really am----I have read a lot of amazing poems on here and I wish more people would comment on my fellow poets a lot more and I know if we do then this place will be even better than it already is--membership could hit the universe so to speak and all over the internet authorsden would be known as a place where Poets who are first starting out can be encouraged and helped and it will last for a long long time...and that as I say often and hope to be able to say next week again is not news BUT that too is reality
