Forgiveness is Healthy 2/23/2013 6:50:53 AM
I just read the book --Gray Matter--by--Dr David Levy--a Neurosurgeon who often Prays with his patients
his father was a Messianic Jew who believed in Jesus as the Savior and Messiah of the world--Dr Levy found that prayer before his patients had an operation improved their chances of success. He also found that patients who came in for a problem they had no idea as to what the sickness was and why they were suffering--after talking with Dr Levy revealed often unforgiveness towards others. The moment they were able to pray for forgiveness from God and to forgive others even if that person was dead or far away-they experienced a release in their spirits that made them feel more Peaceful and bringing God into their lives through prayer Dr Levy saw an increase and a Joy in his surgery
It made me think....are there people that I need to forgive for hurting me and what would happen if I lived forgiveness on a daily basis towards everyone? What would a life of saying" I forgive that husband/wife for being this way...I set them free from my life....I forgive the person who said this-did that to me-or my parents or my child??"
If a Dr sees the amazing results of forgiving others--what is stopping me from doing the same? And watching some peaceful things happen in my life and the lives of others...and that is not news BUT that too is Reality
