To drink or not to Drink-that is the Question 4/1/2013 5:29:14 AM
I don't see much fun in people's lives the morning after a night of drinking. Such individuals seem to be wary of loud noises, too much brightness or even call in sick at work often and they sometimes look as tho they were beat up the night before by a motorcycle gang.I don't care how beautiful the commercials look-with people drinking and laughing.It really isn't a happy hour. You can swallow the lie all you want--get drunk and forget your troubles-yeah right and then you sober up and they are right there waiting for you. When I saw my father and uncles drunk a lot growing up and do stupid things and have arguments over sill things and my Father later beat my Mother when he was drunk--drinking didn't impress me as all that " manly "
I haven't seen anything worth admiring in the lives of others who indulge in drinking or drugs for that matter
I used to take drugs but like the song by the group Alabama says so well
" I'm not that way anymore....time has closed yesterday's door."
I never saw the attraction in ,losing control----being so drunk like my Uncle who drove home so badly drunk-my Father helped him to get to his car and he drove slowly home. Nor do I want to fight with other drunks and only to get sober and realize " I had a fight about that!!!!"
When you lose control from too much drinking your judgement is impaired and you end up doing things that may get you thrown in jail--as the members of a Ohio football team found out when they drank too much and ended up in jail...and that is not news BUT that too is Reality
