Given the rise of thefts going on in stores these days-and I am sure with people saying well its the economy I need to steal to stay alive--support my family or self-well I feel that for any business to survive these days there will need to come a day when the old saying
" The Customer is always RIGHT" be changed to
" The Customer is only sometimes right "
I have seen a lot of thefts going on-seeing as I work in retail--with people stealing from one store and returning to another store to get their "hard earned " money back.
I have watched people with no receipts demand and get the item returned even with the fact that the store didn't stock the item in the first place
I feel we will soon see a lot more stores changing their policies to enforce store security--hiring professionals to catch thieves and have them prosecuted and jailed
Perhaps in time we will see stores with signs out front
" Warning :
To anyone even thinking of stealing here--our security cameras are monitored day and night
should you be caught stealing on camera the police will be called--we will charge you and you will be banned from ever entering any of our stores for 10 years
due to the rise of thefts in our province and city we feel the customer is only sometimes right
Always have your receipt
and remember--if you think you are too cool-too bold--too tough to get caught or even stopped by the police when we see evidence of your wrongdoing
THINK AGAIN
we will have you charged and arrested and the full weight of the law against you
To steal only raises our prices
If you don't care what we are saying in this announcement and are determined to steal anyway--please make sure you have a friend to contact and to bail you out as we will be watching for every theft and will have the shop lifting law enforced
