Sometimes in writng Poetry I have been asked if the poem is part of my real life? Like am I the actual person in the poem but often all I can say is that its just a poem. Tho I know in reading some poems on here I have wondered if people are as old as they appear in their profile as their words seem to be written by a much younger person.To meet me in real life may be a disappointment for some people.The name and image I portray on here--Dark Knight--may sound like a young Romeo--I am much older and I write for the fun of it. I write and let loose my imagination--writing as an Old Man-a Drunk-someone who met Nymphs in a forest one night, or giving a voice to someone who has died. I like so many like to write the stories we feel in our soul
Personally I have written a lot of Romantic Poems. I wish I could write like a Frost or a Yeats-but I can't be them and if could I guess the world would be boring to hear a clone of such gifted Poets.I like all other writers need to be just me--tho some will imagine the person in the poems I write is me--often it is not nor would I wish to behave as some characters in my poems behave--I prefer to remain respectful and decent to all that I meet.Like an actor playing his part in a movie I am just a Poet writing on the small stage of Poetry in a sea of words called--Vivid Imagination and that as I say often is not news BUT that too is Reality.
