Every word you speak.... 3/12/2013 5:13:47 AM
When you speak to others are you and Encourager or a sea of Discouragement? Do people after being with you walk away feeling good or do they walk away from you wishing they never got out of bed this morning?
Proverbs 18:21
" Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue and those who love it shall eat its fruit"
We can literally increase our Peace and Joy by the things we say or by the ones we don't allow ourselves to say.
Our words are containers for Power--negative or positive. People can say things that can hurt the spirits of others-a parent criticizing a child-the cycle gets repeated-spouses later on get criticized--employers are ripped apart verbally-the government-Teachers etc etc. Practice thinking before you speak and you'll see how some things are better left unsaid

Out of our hearts the mouth speaks. If we allow wrong thoughts to grow and cultivate in our minds then often the words will come out in an unguarded moment causing grief and pain to others.
For 2013 I would like to say things that encourage others and form a habit that gives Hope to others. A huge job? Yes but after being raised in a dysfunctional family and seeing firsthand the destructive power of words I think I would like to be more positive and see what might happen and that is now news BUT that too is reality
