I have been noticing a strange thing in grocery parking lots lately----it seems that people of all ages and incomes seem to be unable to take a shopping cart a bout 30 feet and park it--they simply as I have observed--leave it beside their vehicle as they drive away or toss it away from them---I have heard people say they are in a hurry--too busy etc etc--it seems perhaps that somewhere between the putting the groceries in their vehicles their brains and muscles go into some sort of a seizure and they are immediately locked into a
" I don't care " mode--granted this doesn't apply to everyone but it seems to be growing--or as one person said to me--" As long as it doesn't hit my car why do I care?"
Well after awhile if we all adopt that outlook pretty soon no one will care about such boorish nonsense
A friend observed once that a woman put her cart into one of those corrals places like Wal-Mart has--with no concern that it wasn't in there safely --as she walked away--it was a windy day--the cart came out--passed her and slammed into her expensive SUV
Poetic Justice perhaps??
We have a strange attitude today-whether in parking lots or in day to day manners on the road or in public places---many seem to feel that their income-their jobs--their type of vehicles they drive sets them apart to be treated with more respect or at the very least---to have someone else pick up after their indifference
I for one refuse to follow in tie mannerisms or even bend over backwards for them--and that is not news BUT that too is Reality
