Ask Aunt Polly?

When you need some help with a problem in life . who are you gonna call?
Everybody likes to tell someone else what to do about their problems, I’m no different. I have always had the desire to have an “Ann Landers” type column and give sage advice to the needy ones out there that dared to ask for it. And I might say they are really asking for it when they let a stranger tell them what to do. I figure my many years of living qualify me for the job as much as some young whipper-snapper who got all that knowledge from a book in a couple of years when it took me seventy-six years of hard fast living to learn the same thing and I have the scars to prove I been there. You tell me whose advice are you going to take, some kid just out of school or your grandmothers. I haven’t figured out how they get off thinking they are smarter just cause they went to school and read a few books. My granddaughter went to nursing school and suddenly she knows everything about the medical field. Now no one asks my advice when they get sick, they call her. They try out all that new fangled stuff first but when it fails they finally call ole grandma. How many times do I have to tell them that for a diaper rash pure old Crisco is the very best salve there is, not all that perfumed stuff in the fancy tubes and you can’t beat a little lemon-whisky and honey for a cough, if you use enough of it you start feeling really good in no time. But enough of this friendly advice while complaining, I think I would call it “Ask Aunt Polly”, now what do you think? Who you gonna call? (I admit if you have any questions about the computer you better call a young whippersnapper.)Now I want you to know all my advice is free and given willingly. Just let me know when you need it and remember it takes at least three hugs a day to keep you well and healthy, so hug somebody. Remember, Ask Aunt Polly.
