Blogs by Bo Drury Saved Clippings! 10/31/2010 4:28:06 PMToday I was prowling through some old paper clippings of articles I wrote for the Clay county Leader, a weekly newspaper in a small town nearby. It was a blast reminising over things that happened years ago. The first one I picked up was about Halloween some years ago. We had a big snowstorm and the trick or treaters couldn't make their rounds. What a bummer for the kids! and the folks who loved to pass out treats and maybe scare the little spooks. That was what I loved to do, dressing up and hiding in the shadows by the front door to give them a start when they stepped up on the porch. But now it is not the same. There are few who come knocking on the door anymore as the cities and churches have organized entertainment for them. I know it is for their own safety but I sure miss the excitment of all the little spooks coming by!
