Blogs by Bo Drury Lifes Seasons 10/29/2007 10:02:08 AMWhat are the different seasons in ones life If we are to divide our lives into seasons at what period does it switch from spring to summer and fall to winter, and what exactly is the winter of our life. A time of slowing down, reflecting on the past, preparing for the time ahead? How fast the years slip away, far faster than we like. So fast the memories blur together. It couldn't possibly have been so long ago that we were in the bloom of our youth and had long years of life ahead and now...we look back knowing the time ahead is shorter. I recall the title of a book I read many years ago "Once is Not Enough" how true that is. Our first life should be a 'dress rehersal' giving us the opportunity to do it over once more. A chance to savor those precious moments we take for granted. Soak up the wonder of this life, it passes all to fast. Spring and summer have passed, the golden leaves of fall have scattered with the wind and the barren plains look bleak waiting for the snows to come. I know beneath the blanket of snow the seeds of life await the coming of another spring. The embers of the fire smolder like the desire of the flesh to live through another season.
