How long is a lifetime Many things can happen to a person in 26 yrs. A lifetime for some, a beginning for others, so when a man asks what would be interesting in the memoirs of a 26 yr old don’t forget to take into account a lifetime may be lived in one short day. Who can say what that one day entails, a first breath, feelings, joy, love, pain, death, what we might all experience over the years in one 24 hour period. Never assume that one has not lived until they have reached an old age. A young husband died at twenty-eight but what he experienced in those short years I have not in seventy six.
He grew to manhood, knew lust and first love. He suffered the pangs of loneliness far from home, fought a war and watched his friends die, his wounds healed but there was pain, he thrilled to a homecoming and found his love. He celebrated the birth of his first son and grieved as he laid his father to rest. He bought his first car and watched his son grow and then just as quickly as an eye blinks he was gone, but it was a lifetime. He could have had more, more time to fish, to see his second son, make love and grow old. There were the grandchildren he never met, the tears he never shed as loved ones went ahead but the life he lived was full and lived with no regret. His life was a story that could be told and remembered
