I meant to get up early today so that I could get a few things done before I headed off to the pool for my daily water aerobics. But, and isn't there always a 'but' in so many self promises? I slept later than I thought I would. Still I'm heading to the pool right now. First things first, whatever that means. I know when I return my day will be filled with the editing and re-writing of my latest manuscript. Had a meeting with one of my readers yesterday and got some very good input for small changes. She was worried that she might have overstepped her role as critique. I assured her that any author worth her weight in words really appreciates critique and that critique is never critisism.
I am also contemplating the next novel. Somehow my brain knows when the current one is nearing the finish line, and my next one invades my mind. New thought begin to bouncend in my head and plot and characters jump around like ping pong balls in a table tennis game that has gone amuk and I am hooked on the next project. Usually this is the time to begin a new embroidery project. Keeping my fingers busy while thinking adds to the pleasures I seem to fill my life with now.
