It seems as if my prayer list gets longer and longer and I guess that's partially attributed to advancing age, or the conditions in which we live right now. My friends and I are getting older and that's a good thing. The alternative is not something any of us look forward to -- just an inevitability to be faced some other day.
After an eight month, and continuing, seige of serious problems my son is facing and some health issues developing in my husband, I find myself praying more often daily. In the kitchen while I'm doing whatever it is that needs doing; at the computer when I'm puzzling over the right words to chose and even as I drive along the roadways. I'm convinced God doesn't requre a special part of the day or place for us to have these conversations. After all prayer is really a conversation with God albeit that only one of us is really speaking, thankfully the other is listening. Still, even though I know He is near, when your children, or a loved one or dear friend hurts, you hurt. I am reminded every time I have one of these conversations to be eternally thankful for the opportunity. I am blessed by family and friends who listen, encourage and pray with me.
I don't often ramble on about my relationship with God but something inspired me this morning to just share these thoughts. Bless you.
