I think of myself as a pretty well-organized person and I base that on the fact that I've been juggling jobs, kids and situations for too many years. Now I'm retired and while I'm busier than ever it's doing the things I want to do when I want to do them. Being an organized person I set goals for myself, both daily goals and those of longer terms. I also set boundaries for spending as the economy is a big issue now. Yesterday was hectic so not everything I wanted to get done was accomplished. "Oh, well," I said. "I'll do better tomorrow," and made plans. I would complete my Christmas decorations which were begun yesterday and should have been finished. One day was all I allotted to that goal. Well, I fell down on that because the tree with the lights built into the branches didn't work and there seemed no way to fix them so we trashed that tree and went out and bought a new one, smaller and hopefully with the lights in tact. This morning I planned to have both Christmas trees decorated and lit by noon. Noon came and went and the trees still stood bare and yet I hadn't had a spare minute. What was I doing? Right after lunch I launched an all-out effort to reach my goal and it would have if the new set of lights for the dining room tree had worked. So tomorrow I'll be off to the store to exchange the bad lights for some hopefully fully functional lights. I think that will complete my decorations. I think…
