To run or not to run, that is the question 8/19/2008 6:20:01 AM
Here we sit in our sunny Florida home but now it is being drenched with rain and battered by winds a bit higher than usual. Thank God Tropical Storm Fay has not turned into Hurricane Fay, at least at this point. The weather report leans toward keeping Fay as a ts and that's fine with us. Having lived through several severe hurricanes, we know the drill. Already all the potted plants, outside grill and any other moveable thing has been stored in the shed. Now we sit comfortably watching the wind and rain. The strange part about Florida's severe weather is that it is never preictable. While the pundits swear they have all the latest equipment in the world to track these storms there is still that element of surprise lurking around the corner. Will it stay on track? Or will it suddenly take a right or left turn and surprise those who thought they were safe. Right now we are safe and we pray that's what will happen. Tomorrow the sun will be out and things will be back to normal. Heat, blue skies, green grass and beautiful flowers. It's well worth waiting out a little storm, right?
