Blessings
I always thought I was blessed. Blessed with good health for me, my husband and our families. Together my husband and I have six children, 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. All healthy and active. I think I have a wonderful life, I live where I want to, do what I've always wanted to do and am blessed in many ways.
Over the past year I've met a delightful young woman through a women's networking luncheon. She was also one of my students when I taught creative writing class at the local college. Sarah is a vibrant woman, involved in an equestrian business. She teaches riding to both adults and children, has a wonderful husband and family. Two months ago her first child was born prematurely (not quite 4 pounds) They named her Chloe Lynn. Chloe was in the neo natal care center for about 6 weeks but when she came home she was just perfect. Tiny but perfect. Last Wednesday I saw Chloe for the first time, a beautiful little girl. Yesterday I learned that Chloe died the day after I saw her. Nothing shocks you more than news of that kind. There is no answer to 'why'? There can be no deeper pain than losing a child. I pray for Sarah and her family as they deal with this terrible loss. I ask you to add her to your prayer lists also.
God is good and we can't question Him but it is difficult dealing with some of the questions that seem to have no answer.
