Nope still not me 3/1/2007 12:10:31 PM
I posted a new pic today and after looking at it, i realize it is not really me either...
that picture was taken at my granddaughter's wedding and we all know that wedding pictures are not really fair...you are dressed up and expecting pictures. At present I have blonde hair, spiked, I never wear dresses, make up or much of anything except jeans unless i'm working. I mean I do wear more than jeans...damn that sounds wrong no matter how I say it. I'm a casual dresser, lets put it that way. I'm about 40 pounds overweight although I'm working on that and I'm 59 years old and don't know a damned thing I can do about that except get older. The problem with photos is that they all make me look old, fat or something I don't like and I refuse to accept that it is just me...I keep wanting a picture that makes me look young, thin and sexy and even Glamour Shots can't work that much magic. So I don't like cameras. I avoid them at all costs. My kids occasionally get a shot of me at some function and they say Mom it looks just like you. I don't speak to them for weeks. I talk to friends on cam which distorts everyone and it doesn't bother me...I'm not adverse to people seeing me...I just can't stand to see a picture of myself. I don't look in the cam that much, its just there anyway. I think the real problem is that I'm still 25 years old...I know that and I expect everyone else to understand it and it is hard to do when there is a picture of this old lady who keeps posing as me. She even gets in front of me when I look in the mirror, and I know I don't look like that. This may not seem like a serious problem to you all but self-denial is a major character trait of mine and I work hard at it...so give me time, friends and I will find a solution to this problem...I've been intending buying a new Photoshop program...
