Blogs by Sue Hess Poetry London 4/27/2005 9:04:23 AMI got an invite to send some poetry to a magazine contest from Poetry London. Does anyone know it?
I usually never enter contests but this one came out of the blue and for some reason it interests me so I was hoping someone out there knew if it is a legitimate magazine or not. It costs four dollars a poem to enter and it requests that no name or anything be on the actual poem, you put the title or the first line on the entry form so it sounds like they are trying to be fair. They told the name of one of the judges, a published poet, and I went on the net and read some of her work and it left me cold but I will admit I am not a good judge of poetry....I only know what I like. If anyone out there is familiar with this place and could email me and let me know what you think, I would be very grateful.
