I survived the holidays with only five pounds gained and a lot less money to spend...how about you all? I haven’t blogged for awhile. I guess I just had nothing to say. I know that’s unusual for me but I think we all have spells where the words just aren’t there.
I had a nice holiday, everyone is well and I was able to see them all over the last couple of weeks. Oh, sure, it could be better, John is still in jail but he is only twenty minutes away. Deb is in her own apartment this year, clean for almost a year…again…and I’m cautiously optimistic for her. Susie is the same as always, steady and cheerful, as sure of her world as the other two are at odds with theirs. Mike and Kristen are still out on break from school. They both made good grades and seem to be doing well. Kasey is nine going on sixteen and I see headaches ahead for Troy and Susie, but she is a delight to me. She has discovered email this year and sends me daily updates on why she is grounded on any particular day. My mom and dad are well and happy, my sister as grumpy as ever and Bob and Betsy didn’t make it home for Christmas but I’m assuming all is well with them and the cows.
I miss my cousin Charles. He died last year just before Christmas and I miss him every day. We didn’t usually see each other in the winter but always talked and I often made him homemade candy and sent it to him. Charles had a sweet tooth.
Oops, I forgot to mention my older brother Jim. He’s well and seems to be pretty happy, he is older than I am (God I love saying that) and he started a new family nine years ago so he is busy with dance recitals and such but he thrives on it.
Well that covers everyone except me and you all know I haven’t changed in the last 10 years except to get older and a little fatter. But you know what? I’m a pretty happy person so maybe the jolly fat lady stereotype is on the button. At least in my case. So where is this leading. As usual with my blogs…absolutely no where. I hope you are all as happy as I am and healthy too….
