Warning: this is a rant about people you don't know and things you can't possibly care about...just thought I'd let you know ahead of time... What do I have to say? Very little actually but I have never let that stop me from talking….or writing as the case may be. Life has been pretty quiet the last few days at the Hess household. We had a little excitement last month, when Kristen’s father and wicked stepmother repoed her truck for some trumped up reason and left her without a way to school. She goes to school 30 miles one direction, Michael and I go about 20 the other direction but there is no excuse to miss school, so I got up each morning and drove her to school and made it to work on time and Michael picked her up after school. We drove her to work and picked her up until she was able to find a car she could afford to buy to replace the truck she loved so much. She decided the truck would never feel like hers again so she didn’t want it back. Of course, the day after she bought her little Kia Sportage, they called her and insisted she pay them for the truck or they would sue her. Because she still believes parents are infallible, no matter how demented they are, she used her school money and paid for the truck. Now she has to sell it and that means keeping it insured until she does. I can’t believe that a parent can be so cold and unfeeling. They said they took the truck because she failed to put full coverage on it even though they were the ones who set up the insurance and the she-devil is her insurance agent. She trusted that they set it up the way they wanted it and instead of calling her and telling her to change the insurance, they took the truck from her workplace one night without telling her. They seem to delight in tormenting her but of course they say they are trying to make her grow up. It’s working…but it’s a pretty mean way to teach a kid a lesson. I think the real reason for their animosity is that she lives with Michael. They took her key to the house away from her when she went away to school and refused to fill out the forms for her financial aid for college but they have the nerve to object to the arrangements she made to survive. Do I need to say that I dislike these two people immensely? No I didn’t think so…
