Blogs by Sue Hess Happy Thanksgiving 11/22/2007 4:34:40 PMIt was one of the best days I've had in ages...and yes, we did have green bean casserole...
It's not my fault, you guys didn't send me any exotic recipes and all my cookbooks are in the storage area, and you know what...the oldies are still fine...we had sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing, corn casserole, all the same things we've been eating for every Thanksgiving since the pilgrims..yes I have been around that long, and it was all good. My brother Bob and his wife Betsy and thier son Steve came with my parents, my niece and her husband and kids came by for a while, the house was crowded, noisy and smelled like heaven. It was perfect. Yes I'm feeling smug, self satisfied and sated, the house is empty now, they all left about an hour ago and I'm waiting for Survivor to come on, listening to the dishwasher go thru endless cycles and wishing I could feel this good all year.
