Whew! Buckeyes almost blew it again.

Thank God got Ron Lewis making that last second three pointer in regulation or we get upset by who Xavier? Wow thats all I would need after seeing the Buekeye football tesm and the Bears blow it in the last fewe months. Well they say bad things happen in threes.

A few comparisons to '300' and the old '300'. (The 300 Spartans. 1962)

'300' Computerized people. Computerized Aegean Sea.
Computerized rhinos. Graphic scenes. Bodybuilder soldiers. A young Xerexes who is 9 feet tsll. Ever seen a 9 feet tall man? Not even in the NBA. Sex scenes. At least most of the men did wear beards (authentic). Oh by the way a computerized Oracle at Delphi priestess. Box office blockbuster with a lot of special effects and some story.

300 Spartans. Real people. A real battle scene showing authentic way in which the people probably fought near a real Aegean Sea. (though the site was not Thermopalye as it appeared they were fighting by the beach, not on a cliff). Spartans look like real human beings but Leonidas and most of the men did not wear beards (early sixties everyone was clean shaven). Xerxes looked he could be the father of the '300' Xerxes and was regular height. Good story but made little at the box office. By the way no sex scenes between Leonidas and Queen Gorgo but a nice love story between a young Spartan and his girlfriend. Finally they mentioned the Thespians being Spartas ally against the Persians (true) not the Arcadians as in '300'. Anyways it doesn't matter to '300' producers because they are cleaning up a t the box office and I'm sure 'The 300 Spartans' director would do the same thing if he made the movie today and add those astonishing ficitonal computerized rhinos. Sadly it just goes to show SPECIAL EFFECTS TODAY KICKS BUTT AND NOT GOOD AUTHENTIC STORY TELLING.

I'm really gwtting tired of all these movies we've seen the last hundred years where a feminine Mary Sue is always the heroine. That's why I want to audition for roles for a tough female who can stand up against
all those macho guys despite having a name like 'Fifi.' You
know like Uma in Kill Bill. I KNOW TAE KWAN DOE
I mean give me a break how many macho guys in real life can take on 15 guys with AK 47s and Uzis with their bare hands by themselves like you see in these silly movies.
Also those macho guys are a lot smaller in real life than they are on the silver screen.
