Omigosh I went to a place in California where I could see a star at night...... You people hear of small California towns called Temecula and Murietta?......Marcy, a fellow actress friend of mine took me out there last weekend to visit her folks....I was just amazed...IN THE EVENING I COULD ACTUALLY SEE STARS....IN THE DAYTIME I DIDN'T SMELL ANY SMOKE OR GAS IN THE AIR AND WE'RE ONLY LIKE A HUNDRED MILES FROM LA.....
Temecula and Murietta are like in a big valley in between these two mountain ranges.....In ways this area kind of reminded me of home town of Des Moines...People are actually friendly towards you...Looks like you could actually walk the streets at night and feel safe....But in other ways you do feel like you're out 'in the sticks....'
I went to a 'fancy restaraunt' in Murietta called 'Chic a Filet' fast food....
Temecula's 'fine arts theater' is called the 'Edwards Cinema' which shows award winning independent films like 'Nina Assassin' and 'Armored.'
I kind of went to an upscale store to do a little Christmas shopping where all the 'affluent customers' of another local town, Lake Elsinore, went to......TARGET.......
A fellow Muriettan wanted to give me a tour of the area in his 'luxury car,' A FORD PICK UP TRUCK.....I kindly told him....'No thanks..'
Again a lot of the Midwest of me came out when visited this area....And again there are advantages over LA...
THERE IS ACTUALLY OXYGEN IN THE AIR OUT HERE
YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE LOCAL MOUNTAIN RANGES OUT HERE..
I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE YOU COULD ACTUALLY DRIVE YOUR CAR RATHER FAST ON THE FREEWAY AND IT ONLY TAKES 10 MINUTES TO GO 10 MILES NOT TWO AND HALF HOURS......
I ACTUALLY BELIEVE IF A TEMECULA GIRL LOST HER 250 DOLLAR IPOD HER DADDY WOULD TELL HER TO GO OUT OUT AND GET A JOB IN ORDER TO BUY A NEW ONE UNLIKE A 'WESTSIDE' OR BEVERLY HILLS DADDY WHO GLADLY WOULD FORK OUT ANOTHER 250 BUCKS FOR ANOTHER NEW IPOD.....ACTUALLY I'M NOT SURE IF A GIRL OR DADDY IN TEMECULA OR MURIETTA WOULD EVEN BUY A 250 DOLLAR IPOD.....A GIRL IN MURIETTA ASKED ME...'IPOD...WHAT'S THAT? IS THAT LIKE THAT FANCY 'CRAIG WALKMAN' I CAN GET AT RITE AID FOR TWENTY BUCKS?"
Temecula does like have like a wine country so there is some culture there....
Sad passing.....Father,who teachers economics told me that Dr Paul Samuelson died....Any of you people who took a college economics class probably used his textbooks....Rest in peace Dr Samuelson......
I know it's a kid's movie but this movie should generate some Oscar buzz....I mean this cartoon movie is almost better than any movie this year with people in it...I'm talking about 'The Princess and the Frog' which Biff and I saw a couple of nights ago....Great story that reminded me of the old Disney cartoons like 'Pinnochio' or 'Alice in Wonderland' or 'The Jungle Book' or 'The Lady and the Tramp' or 'The Lion King.' None of this high tech computerized nonsense...The cartoons looked like old fashioned cartoons that WERE HAND MADE AND THE CHARCTERS WERE SO FUNNY ESPECIALLY THAT TRUMPET PLAYING ALLIGATOR AND THAT LIGHTNING BUG....Also it's nice to see a Disney movie where the main character is an African American....IT'S TIME WE GOT INTO THE 21ST CENTURY......
I'm sorry but even though I kind of liked 'Brothers' and 'The Lovely Bones' didn't they show movies with similar like plots before?....I'm talking about 'East of Eden' and 'Ghost.' Omigosh even 'East of Eden' is like a rehashed version of the 'Cain and Abel story' from the Bible...
ALLRIGHT IT'S ALMOST THE END OF THE OOS AND ME AND MY COLLAGUES ARE GOONNA HAVE A REAL GOOD OOS SPECIAL COIMING UP IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO.....
ANYTHING GOES IN THE OOS WILL SOON BE ANYTHING WENT IN THE OOS OR WE'LL ALL BE EATING PORK AND BEANS IN THE TEENS...JUST KIDDING IT'LL BE 'WE'LL ALL BE LIVING LIKE KINGS AND QUEENS IN THE TEENS...' MORE THAN ENOUGH THOUGHTS FOR NOW
