I am crossing my fingers with those darned Cubs but at least I feel so much better than last week

OK the Cubs are back in the playoffs again BUT THAT MEANS NOTHING FOR US CUBS FANS. Just point to 1969 or 1984 or 1989 or 1998 or ugghh and argggh lord have mercy..... 2003, I still am upset about 2003 and would love to have at least had a conversation with Mr Bartman. OK I've actually recovered from 2003. Now it's 2007 and the Cubs are facing the Diamonbacks in the playoffs and the Cubs are underdogs and the Cubs will probably disappoint us fans like they always have since Moses crossed the Red Sea. I wonder if it will be quick and dirty or we get beat slow Chinese torture death ala thousand cuts like 2003 and I wonder who will be the 'new Steve Bartman.' Steve please do not be near any of the Cubs again. Watch the game on TV! If you want a baseball BUY IT AT THE STORE. Anyways I'm crossing my fingers, legs, toes, and nose but I am a Cubs fan which is far more THE ETERNAL OPTIMIST THAN BEING A STRUGGLING ACTRESS.

I mean it's so rare to see the Cubs win a World Series that Halley's Comet will be near the Earth a hunded times before the Cubs win the Big One. The Ice Ages will come and go and there will be new breeds of people and new Mastadons and Wooly Mammoths and elephants and other kinds of animals that the Lord will make before the Cubs win a World Series. People will be living and following baseball teams in places like the planet Zatoris which is near Alpha Centauri and where my friend Alocki is from before the Cubs win a World Series. The US government will actually not be in debt before the Cubs win the World Series. So we'll see about these year but I am realistic. I'm crossing every part of my body. I'm taking out my little shamrock. Of course as you know I go to church regularly but I also went to confession this Saturday to confess my sins but also pray for the Cubs and see if the Big Fella up there will give me a little break.

One more thing about the Cubs. This is the 75th anniversary of the '32 series between the Cubs amd the Yankees and Babe Ruth's famous 'called shot.' Any of you old baseball fans around when that happened?
