Look into my eyes and give me an acting job. I want to be the star of the next Academy Award Winning Blockbuster.
Jerry I'm tired of getting turned down at every audition. I'm gonna learn to be a hypnotist.
All you struggling actors, authors, screenwriters, and singers need to take classes in hypnosis so you can 'convince' Mr or Ms Stuckup "well we like you but...." decision makers to say YES YES YES. Look into my eyes and give me that great role, take my screenplay, publish my book, record my number one hit song because you're giving all these mediocrities today a chance....WHY NOT ME.
Ahh I love the Double Os since besides the obvious this decade will be known as a "decade of mediocrity." Almost all the actors today (especially those under 50 except for moi of course) are mediocre. You know what I think of the movies and TV shows today. The pop singers can't hold a tune to the old time singers (Wish I was living during that 67 summer of love)and those exciting blockbuster best selling novels you see at B and N and Borders? Well at least you don't have to take sleeping pills to get a good nights sleep. So all you entertainment types who I know have talent need to take hypnosis classes and hypnotise these producers, agents, publishers, directors, whatever. THEY HAVE TO BE UNDER A SEMISPELL THEMSELVES TO ACCEPT ALL THIS MEDIOCRITY IN ENTERTAINMENT WE SEE TODAY.
Summer of Love retrotime. In '67 a cool police story set in paradise came out. I'm talking Hawaii 5-0 of course with one of my favorite actors, Jack Lord (Bookem Danno). Just love that themesong by the Avengers. How about a couple of funky retro songs from the past. "Jump" by the Pointer Sisters and "The Cisco Kid" by War. I also love "More than a woman" (Saturday Night Fever) by both the Bee Gees and Tavaris.
Jerry I'm tired of seeing all these little girls with no role models from TV or the movies. When's that Fifi film gonna come out?
The Cubs actually have improved since I had little 'tantrum' a few weeks ago. They won 7 straight till they got beat by the Brewers today.
Marcus went to some pitchfest last week to try to pitch 'you know what' to all those Hollywood decision makers. He said the place was packed with screenwriters and authors. Marcus you need to take my advice about learning hypnotsism.
There must be a million frustrated writers trying to write the next bestseller. There must be a million frustrated actors and actresses like me trying to make it on stage or screen. There must be a million screenwriters who are trying to pitch their screenplays to these Hollywood big shots. There must be a million musicians trying to get their songs on Billboards Top 40. Well you get the point. Maybe we need to start a frustrated artists group with moi of course being president. We may want to get all the Cubs fans to join too because they've been frustrated for a hundred years.
I have no idea why I took classes like Organic Chemsitry and Differential Equations in collge. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HYPNOTISM,HOW TO INFLUENCE PEOPLE, AND THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY BECAUSE A LOT OF THESE MEDICRITIES TODAY MADE IT BIG BECAUSE OF BEING A BIG SHOT'S REALTIVE, OR HAVING CONTACTS OR FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES. AGAIN THE OLD ADAGE OF ITS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW BUT WHO YOU KNOW RINGS SO TRUE TODAY.
OK more than enough thoughts now except I want to say in
addition to Fifi's Thoughts you'll be seeing a new regular blog entry called Fifi reviews the medicore movies of the week (I mean it is the Double Os, maybe once in a while I'll take 'medicore' out). I'll give it a grade of 1 to 4 'garlics' what stinks more than garlic with one being best four being worst. This week I'll do Sicko, 1408, and Evan Almighty. Hope you enjoy it.
