How many "Another silly movie starring people under 30" movies can we take and where the heck are the flying cars? I just turned like you know the MTV channel today and saw a silly ridulous movie about some kid who would do anything into to get into Stanford called "Orange County." Now you people know that I am a struggling waitress trying to be a world famous actress but because of my artistic principals refuse to audition for all these dumb stupid no plot 'under 30' movies. You know they used to be call 'teenage movies' or 'college kid' movies or 'beach bunny bingo' movies or whatever but know with movies like 'Knocked Up' they extend to everyone between the ages of '13 and 30.' I mean we have kind of reached the 25th anniversary of those kind of movies called 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High." Now some of you people may say that next year is the 30th annivesary of the father of all silly "under 30" movies in 'Animal House.' (By the way half of the actors in 'AH' were well over 30 just like they were in Grease.) I consider 'Animal House' to be a very very funny movie and not silly so I don't put AH in that category. I recently talked to the well known movie critic Ben Bezzlebub of the LA Sentinal and he said I should really audition for these dumb 'under 30' movies because that's what all the Genyers are watching and not wait to audition for a serious 'Academy Award' type film because Genyers today don't care to see serious well made movies. Well I'm sorry Mr Beezlebub but I have my principals. I mean if they want to make a silly hillarious movies about a geny girl that has Oscar potential why the heck don't they just make my life story, 'Fifi?'
I can't believe we're living in the double 0s and they are no flying cars. I mean I've seen old books and movies made back in the 50s and 60s that talked about life in the 00s and everybody had flying cars. We better start making flying cars soon or as usual the Japanese or Koreans will beat us to it. And also in the old movies they talked about places like the Lunar Hilton or the Mars Hilton or '150 being the new 100 with 100 being the new 50.' I guess we're behind the times. The only Hilton they talk about today is the 'Paris' Hilton and I'm not talking about a hotel in France. Now I did call a friend of mine in Shanghai who I went to Quincy with on my cell from the edge of the Grand Canyon last week. But it would be nice to, you know, talk about having a few more wrinkles at the age of 150 instead of being a 'bag of bones' six feet under the ground. Those MDs need to quit being highly paid dermatologists to the 'Beverly Hills' crowd and do some serious genetic research
Sad passing of Hal Fishman, logtime LA news anchor on channel 5. I loved watching Hal late at night because he was so well informed and knowledgable. Ahhh more passings. May be a bit too young to remember him but Father and Mother loved Merv Griffin. Lets see Merv sadly joins a few giant talk show host who recently left us. Midwesterner Tom Snyder, Mike Douglas and now Merv. Not too many of the great talk show hosts from the past left. Also don't want to forget the sad passing recently of a brilliant sports legend, Bill Walsh. As a Bear fan I hated how his 49ers (except for 85) dominated us in the 80s and early 90s but he was clearly 'the genius' being the mastermind to his team getting 5 Superbowl trophies. Rest in peace Hal, Tom, Merv, Mike, and Bill.
Its Iowa State Fair time and for the first time in like six years I'm missing it because I have 3 or 4 auditions lined up this week, believe it or not 2 of them are for roles in dumb and silly under 30 movies. I guess I have my principals but I also could use the money.
I also heard the weather was rather on the warm side out there in Des Moines. The reason being all those Presidential candidates out there campaigning? You know a lot of hot air? Still all you readers and writers from the Midwest know it's kind of sacri-religious to miss those state fairs.
More Fifi fans. There like putting a big new underwater cable system of the coast of Africa. 250 million more internet users. 250 million more 'Fifi' fans.
You people realize its the 50th anniversary of Tang? 50th anniversary of powdered artificial orange juice or COLORED WATER?
I just saw some magazine about what life was like in 1957 you know 50 years ago and it said how so many people wanted to move to California and especially LA. Now everybody wants to get away from LA. Just kidding but sometimes when I'm on that freeway and there's more people on it than the entire state of Iowa...........
Also the magazine said '57 was when Dr Seuss wrote the 'Cat in the Hat' and a couple of English fellas named George and John got together and........started Beatlemania....when the heck is there go be a 'Fifimania?' Oh well at least the Cubs are still in first. Way more than enough thoughts for now.
