Omigosh I don't know which I love better, Sergeant Pepper or Doctor Pepper. You old baby boomer hippy types happen to remember that it's the 40th anniversary of the release of "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." I mean like the Beatles are the greatest group in the history of this planet and I just love all the strange and funky songs that came from that album. Besides "Sgt Pepper" I really love "A Day in the Life," "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," It's not about LSD by the way, and "Lovely Rita." There's just no rock and roll group that comes close to being innovative and creative with their music than the Beatles.
I also happen to love Dr Pepper, diet of course since being an actress I can't afford to get fat.
Speaking of strange funky songs here's a couple more that I really love. "Double Dutch Bus" by Frankie Smith and "We got the Beat" by the Go Go's.
If I can't make it as an actress I'm definitely considereing being a singer. I was in choir back in high school and college and I know can pop a tune just as any of these mediocre pop stars you see today.
Omigosh the Double Os will really stand out when it comes to bad movies and terrible acting. I thought "Bug" would take the cake when it came to worst movie of the year. Now there's "Knocked Up" with the some of the worst toilet sewer humor I have ever seen in my life. I went to that movie and felt like leaving after five minutes. It's just amazing to see that place was packed with Gen Yers (I don't recall seeing anyone over 30) who were laughing at some of the stupidest obscene jokes I've ever heard in my life.
Speaking of going to the movies even though "I'm a precious little Gen Y girl" I have absoutely no qualms about seeing a movie alone. Any wolf who wants to take advantage of a girl like me watching a movie by herself, well lets say he's gonna have trouble going to the bathroom. Anyways the advantage of watching a movie by yourself is freedom to satisfy your curiosity and watch anything you want (even horrible movies like Bug and Knocked Up) as opposed to friends or a boring date who want to see movies that they want to see or go when they want to go.
Speaking of the rare good movie of this decade kudos to "Away from Her" which I did see with Biff by the way. Julie Christie should definitely be in the running for an Oscar in this sad but well made Canadian (when will we see any good American movies?) movie about the srruggles an Alzheimer's patient and her husband (Gordon Pinset) endure. I remember how good she was in "Dr Zhivago" and she plays a completely different character in this movie.
Cubs are just amazingly bad, constantly getting into fights and all kinds of silly stuff. Only thing entertaining about the Cubs right bow is seeing Lou impersonating a steam engine and blowing his top because he is so frustrated with how the team is playing. Way more than enough thoughts for now.
